OHSAS 18000 / OHSAS 18001

Hello everyone,
When we speak of work environment, what does it do with OSHAS 18001? Does a simple health and safety seminar would be enough? certificate? training attendance? as a proof for Work environment? Please comment.
Thanks in advance,
Hanuman

ISO 9001 or OHSAS 18001

Work environment as required in ISO 9001 is about resource provision. That means you need to provide resources to meet the requirement of work environment.

In ISO 9001, the requirement is limited to quality of product and not health and safety of humans working in the environment.

In OHSAS 18001 the requirement is also about resource provision and not just training. The resources should be provided to ensure that work environment is good for health and safety of the humans working in that environment.

As far as maintaining the records for training is concern, attendance record along with verification that training has served its purpose [that means skill is improved] is required for both ISO 9001 as well as OHSAS 18001.
